I apologize for not keeping my word and posting my first Sewing Saturday yesterday. I'm a terrible blogger!
My fiance came home from work yesterday telling me to get my bathing suit and we left to spend the afternoon at the beach. We met with two of his friends who were vacationing there and we had a lovely afternoon there. We had churros, beers and seagulls.
Since I didn't post anything yesterday, I'm gonna show you some inspiration for my next little project, which hopefuly I will post already finished next saturday.
It's an apron made out of the back of a pair of jeans. The pockets are super useful, for example if you're in the garden, to keep your small tools near you.
Hopefuly, I will see you next week, and I'm sorry for not posting yesterday.
Leave me a comment, Let's be friends.

Sewing Saturdays
I have been thinking of what kind of weekly
update I could do for the blog, and I decided that a good one would be Sewing
Saturdays (Which I will try as hard as I can to update weekly), where I would show you what I'm working on, either it be a DIY or a complete sewing project, or if I'm not working on
anything, I would make a list of some tutorials and sources of inspiration.
For next week I will be doing a beginner’s
guide for sewing: tools. I would be giving you guys my opinion and showing what
kind of tools I work with for my projects, from a beginners point of view.
What kind of tools do you use for your
projects?

Of weddings and stuff
Ever since we decided that we were getting
married, Nicko and I had some issues with choosing the direction we wanted the
wedding to take.
We are not getting married in a church, so
it’s only the city hall part we’re interested about. I wanted it to be me, him
and our witnesses, and then maybe have lunch in a restaurant or dinner
somewhere. He wanted to invite friends and family, rent a small venue, serve a buffet
and drinks and stuff like that.
So we started compromising, he eliminated
one person from the list and I added one each time he did. We ended up with 40
people, some of which are mine, coming from Italy, Spain and Venezuela; some of
which are his, coming from different parts of France. I’m actually super happy
that we decided to expand my initial idea because this means that my family has
an opportunity to come, as well as some friends.
Getting married this young scares me, but I’m
as excited as I can be. I love my fiancé, and I want to spend the rest of my
life with him, build a family, get a house with a yard and have little garden there. I want all of that with
him by my side.
In next couple of posts I will be showing
some of the DIY stuff that I’ve been working on for the wedding, Hope to see you
back.

Of sewing and life
Ever since finishing the University in May I have been wandering around the
house looking for something to do other than cleaning while my fiancé is
working.
Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to work here in France until we get married
(which is in August. Yei!!), which means I have absolutely nothing to do.
Other than wedding planning and cleaning, I
have not been doing much, so, a couple of weeks ago I got my self two and a
half yards of this amazing beer pint patterned fabric that I fell in love with as
soon as I saw it (maybe cause of the beers, who knows). I had already decided that it would be a dress, since I’m tired of pants, and it’s getting a little hot in this part of the country.
I also got myself two yards of black fabric with tiny crosses, destined to be a different style dress, which was little more
difficult, but that I also like better than the other one.
I’ve been doing small diy projects and I
could make a tutorial for some of them.
Photos of the dresses and projects are soon to come; the weather has
been a little rainy and cloudy for us to go outside to shoot.
See you next week with another post.
